Sculptures and Assemblages
Video exposing her three-dimensional properties:
"Zombie Ballerina" (Life before transitioning into the "Zombie Warrior Queen") This piece won the Sutton Garten Award for Merit in Sculpture at the Indianapolis Art Center 79th Student Show in (December 2016). Her nimble body is made from dead vines found in an Indiana State Park; her head from a stone found in the Pacific Ocean/San Diego, CA. She is posed executing a prominent on pointe jete (although, missing a foot). Her headdress is made from a rusty piece rescued from a street gutter while marching in a protest to save trees. Feathers adorn her crown to celebrate her unique life. |
