Displayed at the Indianapolis Art Center - 2017
This piece won the Sutton Garten Award for Merit in Sculpture at the Indianapolis Art Center 79th Student Show in (December 2016). Her nimble body is made from dead vines found in an Indiana State Park; her head from a stone found in the Pacific Ocean/California.
She is posed executing a prominent on pointe jete (although, missing a foot). Her headdress is made from a rusty piece rescued from the street side while marching in a protest to save trees. Feathers adorn her crown to celebrate her unique life.
